At the beginning of February, we packed our bags and headed to Paris for Pharmapack 2018, an annual event focused on pharmaceutical packaging and drug delivery.

With over 400 exhibitors and more than 5000 attendees, it is growing year on year and is a great opportunity to catch up with clients and suppliers, and see new developments in the industry.
An addition to the excitement of this year’s event was the thick layer of snow – the heaviest in 30 years for Paris. This not only made us question the choice of footwear that we’d packed, but also made the first morning of the conference a little quiet. However, it didn’t take long to get busier and we had lots of useful conversations and interactions over the two days of the event.

From the work we’re carrying out for our clients day-to-day, and the sheer amount of people we spoke to who are developing products and services in the drug delivery sector, the parenterals industry looks to be particularly strong. Connected medical devices is still an area of interest to many in the industry, and the larger conversation around data safety and security with increased connectivity was much-discussed.
We look forward to seeing what the industry (and the weather) brings next year!
